Well, he was elected by the voters of Kircaldy and Cowdenbeath. In a parliamentary system, I suppose it’s always wrong to say that the prime minister was elected by anyone other than his own constituency, but the personalities of the parties’ leaders do seem to play more of a role than they did even 15 or 20 years ago.

I’ve been active in taxes for lengthier then I care to acknowledge, both on the personal side (all my employed life history!!) and from a legal standpoint since satisfying the bar and following up on tax law. I’ve rendered a lot of advice and redressed a lot of wrongs, and I must say that what you’ve posted makes impeccable sense. Please carry on the good work – the more people know the better they’ll be armed to deal with the tax man, and that’s what it’s all about.

Considering the unstable situation in Pakistan, it is probably not a bad idea. If the Taliban every took over there, it could be very dangerous considering Pakistan’s nuclear option. Our intelligence capabilities in Pakistan will be crucial for the future.
